Winter may be over, but the coldest spot in the state stays well below zero all year long. At -70 degrees Fahrenheit, CSW has launched a pioneering ultra-cold bioscience freezer in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
The environment in this ultra-cold freezer, designed for dairy products and pharmaceutical storage, is so harsh that certain electrical components of the warehouse’s automated systems are virtually useless. Our workers work up to one-hour shifts while bundled up in parkas, Arctic pac boots, and more, and have also undergone special training for frostbite and dehydration.
